The next day, at night, divya and rachita were in divya's room. They were sitting on the bed with a tense look on their faces. Sahil entered the room as divya immediately stood up from the bed and locked the door behind him.
"Are you guys kidnapping me?" Sahil asked making rachita chuckle. He sat on the bed beside rachita. Divya came back to the bed and sat in the opposite direction of him.
"Why did you guys call me so late at night?" Sahil asked rachita and divya who shared a mysterious look to eachother. "We have a work for you." Divya spoke making sahil frown.
"What is it?" Sahil asked making divya gulp. "Did you like aashvika?" Divya spoke making his eyes widen as he stood up with a jolt.
"What? Mom, I'm just a kid, I'm not ready for marriage yet." Sahil spoke dramatically making divya slap her forehead. Rachita looked at him and spoke, "First sit down sahil and listen to what she is saying."
Divya looked at sahil and again spoke, "Tell me, did you like aashvika?" Sahil thought for a min and spoke, "Yeah, she is sweet, i liked her."
Hearing this, divya and rachita's eyes lit up. "See! I told you!" Divya said with excitement making rachita nod. "Isn't she perfect for this house, sahil?" Rachita spoke making sahil frown.
"Perfect for what-" Sahil spoke but soon the realisation dawned upon him. "No way!" He yelled making divya and rachita hiss. He grinned widely and spoke, "I understood what you guys meant by that."
Divya and rachita looked at him and spoke, "What did you understand?" Sahil's grin deepened and he spoke,
"You guys want aashvika and vivaan bhai to get married, right?" He spoke while laughing making them widen their eyes.
"Be quiet," Divya warned him, making him become quiet. "Only, you, me and mom know about this." Divya spoke continuing, making sahil nod his head.
"But then, why did you guys tell me this?" Sahil asked making divya smile nervously. "Well, because you'll be helping us in telling everyone about this." Divya spoke making sahil stand up from the bed with a jerk.
"Main nahi ban rha bali ka bakra!" He yelled making divya punch him lightly on his stomach. "You will do this!" Divya ordered him to which, he immediately shook his head as a no. "Pleaseeee" Divya pleaded with puppy eyes, making sahil sigh.
"Ok fine." He spoke making divya and rachita cheer. "But who will talk to bhai?" He asked making them go silent. After some seconds, divya and sahil looked at rachita who widened her eyes.
"No way!" She yelled making both of them giggle. "Yes! You will talk to him!" Sahil yelled making her sigh.
"But he won't agree so easily!" Sahil spoke with disappointment. "And that's why, we have a plan!" Divya spoke making sahil look at her.

The next divya and sahil waited for atharv and vivaan to leave for work. The moment they left for work, they told the family members about aashvika and how they wanted her and vivaan to get married. The family members not having a problem with her agreed to it. Then sahil told them all about the plan and they all cheered excitedly. The servant who was present in the dining room, cleaning, also cheered making everyone look at her.
"I-i will go to the kitchen to make tea!" The servant spoke and ran away to the kitchen making everyone chuckle. Now, they were all waiting for vivaan to come back home at night.
At night, when vivaan came back home, everyone who were sitting in the living room started panicking. "Don't forget the plan!" Sahil whisper yelled making everyone nod.
Divya greeted vivaan and told him to get freshen up. Vivaan was confused as to why his mother was rushing him so much today but nonetheless, he walked upstairs to get freshen up.
VIVAAN'S POV:
I walked upstairs in confusion as to why maa was rushing me so much, right now. I walked inside the room and taking off my coat, i sat down on the bed, being tired.
Huffing a sigh, i walked towards my closet and took out a pair of black tee and red trousers. Walking to the shower, i stripped my clothes and stood under the hot shower letting my muscles relax. Pushing my hair back, i toom the towel and wrapped it around my torso.
Walking out the shower, i wore my clothes and stood infront of the mirror. I let my wet hair fall on my forehead and walked downstairs as i was really hungry.
Walking downstairs, my footsteps echoed in the living area. I walked towards the dining area and saw everyone already being seated there. Mom looked at me with faint smile and pulled out a chair for me, beside her.
I sat down and she served food for me despite me telling her that i can do it on my own. While serving food for me, i saw a bandage wrapped around her fingers.
"Mom, how did this happen?" I asked, immediately taking her hand in mine. She sighed and revealed, "I was just cooking food and accidentally cut my finger."
I looked at her while being done and asked her, "Are you serious? We have personal chefs for a reason, mom. Why do you have to cook?" Mom's eyes widened and she spoke.
"Well, there's no taste in their hands." She spoke with a determined tone. "Mom? They are the best chef's of mumbai and you're saying that they don't have any taste in their hands?" I asked her while frowning.
"Yeah! Real taste is in the hands of someone who cooks food with love, not for money." She spoke with a firm tone.
"Alright, i will hire someone else but you have to stop hurting yourself like this." I told her and continued eating my food.
AUTHOR'S POV:
Hearing vivaan's words, divya internally sighed and stood up. Walking towards the living room, she saw everyone looking at her with hopeful eyes.
She shook her head making everyone sigh in disappointment. Seeing everyone become disappointed, sahil walked in the centre and dramatically announced, "Don't worry guys, I've another plan."

After having his dinner, vivaan decided to do his leftover work in the living room. Seating himself on the sofa, he opened his laptop and started doing his work.
The whole family stood behind the stairs, staring at him from behind.
"Bhabhi, go now." Ishita spoke and pushed divya in vivaan's direction. As divya walked in the living room, she started acting like she was finding something. While finding something, she fell on the floor and started yelling as if her ankle had twisted.
Hearing divya's yells, vivaan's eyes widened as he immediately rushed towards her. He immediately picked her up and placed her on the couch.
"Mom, are you okay?" Vivaan asked while divya just shook her head. "Wait here, I'm going to get the spray for you." Vivaan spoke with a tense look spread all over his face. Hearing his words, divya immediately held his wrist and stopped him.
"Don't worry vivaan, it's normal." Divya spoke with pain lacing her voice. "What do you mean it's normal?" Vivaan asked as his eyes narrowed at her words. "I meant that I've sprained my ankle before too. It's fine beta." Divya spoke trying to reassure vivaan.
"And you are telling this to me, now?" Vivaan asked. "Don't worry vivaan, I'm really fine." Divya spoke with nervousness. "I should not worry? And tell me one thing, do you even ever apply spray to your sprain or not?" Vivaan asked her.
"Well, i can't wait reach my legs and you all are busy in work..so, i don't." Divya spoke, her voice low.
Vivaan sighed hearing her words and just went to get the spray. Coming back with the spray bottle in his hands, he took divya's feet in his lap and started applying the spray in her ankle. Keeping the spray bottle aside, he started massaging her ankle.
Seeing him, divya's eyes softened and she spoke, "Shaadi karlo beta."
Hearing her words, vivaan looked at her with confusion. Divya took her legs back from his lap and kept them down. "Nothing has happened to me." She announced, making vivaan widen his eyes.
"What do you mean?" He asked, his brows frowning in confusion once again. Divya sighed at his words and yelled, "Come out everyone." Hearing her words, everyone walked in the living room.
Vivaan looked at all of them in confusion. Divya kept her hand over vivaan's and caressed it, gaining his attention. "It was all an act." Divya spoke in a low voice, making vivaan's eyes turn narrow. "An act? For what?" He asked. His voice dangerously low. Divya sighed and spoke, "To make you agree for marriage." Hearing her words, his eyes widened, as he stared at her stunned.
But as the realisation dawned upon him, his eyes narrowed. Without a word, he stood up and rushed upstairs. Divya tried to stop him but shaurya stopped her. Divya looked at him, as he shook his head.
"I will talk to him." Everyone's attention turned towards rachita, who stood up with an unreadable expression and walked upstairs behind vivaan.
As rachita reached vivaan's room, she saw that it was locked. She slowly knocked on the door. From inside, came his voice, "I don't want to talk to anyone."
Rachita faintly smiled at his words and spoke, "Vaan? It's your grandmother."Hearing his grandmother's voice, vivaan stared at the locked door for a while and then stood up while exhaling a deep breath.
He could never ignore his grandmother.
The woman who raised him since his childhood.
She was like his second mother.
As vivaan opened the door, rachita walked inside the room. The whole room felt silent, but it was a peaceful silence. Rachita walked towards vivaan's bed and sat down. She patted the space next to hers and spoke in a low voice, "Come here, vaan."
Oh, he could never say no to his grandmother, especially when she used that nickname.
He quietly walked towards his bed and sat down beside her, the soft creak of the mattress echoing in the silence. She took his hands in hers, her touch warm and comforting, and asked, "What happened vaan?" Vivaan sighed hearing her, his shoulders sloping in defeat, and slowly spoke, "I don't want to get married." Rachita looked at his face, her expression etched with concern, as she asked, "Why?" Vivaan just kept looking at his hands, which were intertwined with his grandmother's, his eyes tracing the lines on his palms.
Exhaling a deep, shaky breath, he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper, "It just feels very strange, isn't it too soon?" Hearing his words, Rachita chuckled, a soft, gentle sound, making him look at her. She gently caressed his knuckles, her touch soothing, and spoke, "You are 25 years old vaan."
Hearing this, Vivaan sighed, his eyes dropping to his hands again, and once again spoke, "But.. I'm not good in this..marriage, love and showing feelings, i don't like all this...it makes me feel weak ..what if she expects me to love her...? I don't want someone to regret marrying me."
Rachita's eyes softened as she stared at Vivaan's face, which was glowing in the dim light, her expression filled with empathy. "Somewhere it is my fault that i made you grow up this way but remember one thing." Rachita said, and kept her fingers under vivaan's chin. She lifted his face up, her touch gentle, and spoke, "Pyaar kabhi kara nahi jaata hai..woh toh bas ho jaata hai." She spoke with a soft smile, her eyes shining with warmth.
Vivaan looked at her with hesitation visible in his eyes, "and what if..she is not happy with someone like me?" Rachita's smile deepened at his words, and she spoke, "It depends on that person beta."
"Kuch logon ko toh patthar mein bhi shivling dikh jaata hai." She spoke, making vivaan gulp.
Vivaan slowly looked down, his eyes avoiding hers, and after thinking for a while, he nodded, "Okay.. I think...i will give it a try." He announced, making her smile, a warm, encouraging smile.
"Also..we have already found the girl for you, vivaan." Rachita spoke, making vivaan stare at her with widened eyes, but before he could say anything, she continued, "But don't worry..if you both will agree to this marriage, then only it will happen, don't worry." She spoke reassuring him. His face relaxed as he slowly nodded.
Taking out an envelope from the pockets of her pants, she spoke, "And now..this is the photo of her." She kept the envelope in his hands and continued, "Tum photo dekho, until then, i will go downstairs to give everyone this good news." Saying this, she stood up from his bed, her movements slow and deliberate.
Closing the door of his room behind her, she walked downstairs, leaving vivaan alone with his thoughts, the envelope still in his hands.
As rachita walked downstairs, everyone's gaze fell on her. Rachita walked in the living room with an unreadable expression visible on her face. Clearing her throat, she spoke, "Vivaan has made a decision."
Hearing her words, everyone looked at with curiosity visible in her eyes, wanting her to continue her words.
"He is ready for marriage." She spoke making everyone jump in excitement. Divya walked towards her and hugged her tightly from side. "Thank you so much, mumma!" Divya spoke with excitement.
"I'm going to meet bhai!" Sahil spoke but rachita held his wrist, stopping him. He looked at her with confusion as she spoke, "Right now, he is looking at your bhabhi." Hearing this, sahil smiled and spoke, "Alright then, we will go to meet him tommorow morning."
"Divya, call aashvika's mom and tell her about this." Rachita ordered divya, making her nod, as she went to call aashvika's mom.

VIVAAN'S POV:
किसी रोज़ तुम से मुलाक़ात होगी,
मेरी जान उस दिन मेरे साथ होगी।
As dadi left the room, my gaze drifted to the envelope placed softly in my hand, my fingers traced the soft texture of the paper.
Marriage. Love. A new beginning.
All this was new to me and the thought of it sent a shiver down my spine, and my heart began to thud in my chest. I was still uneasy about the whole thing, the uncertainty of it all making my mind a whirlwind of questions. But dadi's words lingered in my mind, offered me a sense of calm, a reassurance that everything would be okay.
मगर कब ना जाने ये बरसात होगी,
मेरा दिल है प्यासा, मेरा दिल अकेला।
Taking a deep breath, i carefully opened the envelope, the sound of the paper tearing open echoed in the silent room.
My eyes squeezed shut as I pulled out the photo, my heart racing with anticipation. My palms became sweaty as i felt a lump in my throat, and my breath caught in anticipation.
ज़रा तस्वीर से तू निकल के सामने आ मेरी महबूबा,
मेरी तक़दीर है तू मचल के सामने आ मेरी महबूबा।
Slowly opening my eyes, my gaze fell on the photo and it was as if my breath had been caught in my throat as i stared at the woman in the picture.
"Aashvika?" I whispered under my breath, my eyes softening as i gazed at her photo. Her eyes sparkled in the photo, and her smile seemed to light up the entire room. I felt like i had been punched in the gut, as all the air was sucked out of me. My heart skipped a beat as I stared at her picture, a mix of surprise and nervousness swirling inside me like a tornado.
I felt a small smile creeping onto my face as I gazed at her photo, her eyes seeming to sparkle with love. "Why did my heart feel like it was going to burst? "
I couldn't explain the flutter in my chest or the sense of calm that washed over me. I didn't know what to call this feeling as i had never felt it but it was like i'd finally found something i'd been searching for, something that had been missing in my life.
I laid down on the bed slowly, the photo still clutched in my hand, sticking to my chest as i stared at the ceiling. My mind still reeling with thoughts.
"I'm getting married?"
The thought sent a thrill inside me, and I felt a sense of wonder. I whispered her name, the sound of it echoing in my room. I couldn't believe it. With a faint smile still on my face, I drifted off to sleep, her face etched in my mind like a permanent mark.
