After a long drive of 40 minutes, the malhotra family finally pulled up at aashvika's home, the sunlight casting a warm glow over the gathering.

Vivaan, still seated in the car, took a deep breath, trying to calm the rapid beat of his heart, which was racing with a mix of anticipation and unease. He slowly opened the door, his eyes scanning the surroundings before his feet touched the ground.

As he straightened up, he was met with sahil's mischievous grin, who was leaning against the car, looking like the cat who'd swallowed the canary. "Nervous haan?" Sahil teased, his voice dripping with amusement.

Vivaan scoffed, rolling his eyes as he smacked sahil on the head. "Teri tarah darpok nahi hoon!" he retorted with a mocking tone, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "Bhool mat, main sahil nahi vivaan malhotra hoon." He ended his sentence with a tight-lipped smile, his eyes glinting with confidence, earning a good-natured scowl from sahil.

Atharv, who was standing nearby, looked around, asking, "Btw, where is Vedansh?" Vivaan replied, "He will be here in a few minutes." Just then, the sound of screeching tires broke the air, followed by the roar of a bike engine. Vivaan turned to see vedansh getting off of his bike in slow motion, his sunglasses adding to the dramatic effect. Vedansh walked towards them, removing his helmet and ruffling his hair, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

He approached vivaan with a teasing grin, "Kya hua baby? Pyaar ho gaya kya? Abhi bhi mauka hai waapas chal sakte hain." Vedansh spoke as his hands moved towards vivaan's cheeks, his voice dripping with playful sarcasm. Vivaan's expression turned outraged, and he quickly slapped vedansh's hands away, yelling, "Saale teri tarah gay nahi hoon, door hatt!" The group shared a laugh hearing his response, the tension in the air dissipating as they teased each other.

Divya, upon seeing the group messing with eachother yelled, her voice laced with a hint of sarcasm, "Aap charon ka bohot zaroori discussion ho gaya ho toh hum chalein? Vo kya hai na, shaadi ki baat humein aashvika se karni hai, warna aap kahein toh vedansh ke ghar chal sakte hain hum." Anukriti couldn't help but giggle at her words, a playful smile dancing on her lips as she pulled atharv along, following their family members.

[If you four have had an important discussion, then can we leave? The thing is, we need to talk to aashvika about the wedding, otherwise if you want them we can go to Vedansh's place.]

Sahil, shaking his head in mock and disgust, glanced at vivaan and vedansh before trailing after his brother and sister-in-law.

Vivaan, his eyes narrowing slightly, looked over at vedansh, who was still sporting a huge grin, clearly enjoying the teasing. "Marr jaa saale!" Vivaan yelled, cursing vedansh as he started walking towards the house.

Vedansh just chuckled, his grin unwavering, as he followed vivaan from behind, the sound of his amusement lingering in the air.

Abhimanyu opened the door, a warm smile spreading across his face as he welcomed the malhotra family. His eyes locked onto vivaan, and a spark of admiration lit up his gaze. "He looks even cooler in real life," he murmured under his breath, his enthusiasm getting the better of him.

But vedansh, who was walking behind vivaan, heard his comment. His eyes narrowed slightly, as he walked towards abhimanyu, a mock-stern expression on his face. "Vo mera hai, usse door raho." he warned, his tone playful yet possessive. With his remark, he turned away, dramatically flipping his hair as he walked off, leaving the bewildered looking abhimanyu behind.

[He is mine, stay away from him.]

It took abhimanyu a moment to collect himself, his cheeks flushing with surprise. Slowly, he composed himself and followed the others inside, his eyes drifting towards vedansh, who was staring at him with a teasing grin.

A shiver ran down abhimanyu's spine as vedansh's words echoed in his mind, his expression a mix of confusion and intrigue.

As everyone settled themselves in the living room, priya along with sheena served them water and snacks. Priya greeted the whole family and sat down in their opposite direction. The whole atmosphere was giving them a welcoming feeling.

"It feels so good to finally meet you, Mrs. Singhania." Divya exclaimed making priya smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you too. And please, just call me priya." Priya requested, earning a smile from divya in return.

Vivaan who was, unsure of what to do next, looked around, as he took in the warm and inviting atmosphere of the house. The decor of the house was elegant, yet cozy, making him feel at ease. He couldn't help but notice that the house wasn't too big, nor was it too small- it was just perfect, like it was tailored to fit the family's needs.

As he looked around, his gaze landed on abhimanyu, who kept sneaking glances at him and vedansh. Vivaan's brow furrowed slightly as he turned to vedansh, who was grinning widely while staring at the floor. Bending himself towards vedansh, vivaan asked, "Why is he staring at us like that?" His curiosity piqued.

Hearing his question, vedansh's grin widened as he tried to control his laugh. "I told him something" he whispered back, his voice laced with mischief. Vivaan frowned at his words and again asked, "what?"

Vedansh looked over at vivaan, then at abhimanyu, before finally looking at the ground, a sly smile still playing on his lips. "I told him that you are mine." he revealed, while trying to control his laugh.

Vivaan's eyes widened in horror as he processed vedansh's words. His gaze lingered on vedansh's face for a minute, his mind racing with hundred ways of how he could kill him.

He then looked over at abhimanyu, who now had a horrendous expression on his face, like he'd eaten something sour. Vivaan's eyes snapped back to vedansh, and he realized the position that vedansh and he were in- Vedansh was sitting straight, while vivaan was almost laying on top of him, his face mere inches away from vedansh's.

Vivaan's face flushed with embarrassment as he widened his eyes and immediately retreated back to his position, glaring at the man who was trying to control his laughter until now. He cleared his throat, trying to regain composure, and slowly pinched vedansh's arm, earning a groan from him.

Sahil, who had been observing the exchange between vivaan and vedansh, couldn't help but notice priya's curious gaze fixed on them. A sly grin spread across his face, and he leaned in, his voice hinting a warning, "Bhai, yaad rakho apne sasural mein baithe ho aap." The words were laced with amusement, and vivaan knew he was in for some good-natured teasing later.

[Brother, remember that you are sitting at your in-laws house.]

Vivaan's eyes flicked to Priya, and he cleared his throat, looking away awkwardly. Priya, oblivious to the underlying tension, called out to him, "Beta?" Her voice was warm and gentle, making vivaan turn towards her. "Ji?" he replied, trying to sound composed.

Priya's eyes sparkled with concern as she innocently asked, "Paani chahiye kya? You're coughing so much." Hearing her question, sahil and vedansh exchanged a knowing glance and stifled their laughter. Vivaan nodded his in negative. Feeling his embarrassment grow, he looked down mumbling, "Kaise janwar log hain meri zindagi mein."

Meanwhile, divya scanned the room, her eyes searching for a familiar face. "Where is aashvika?" she asked, her question drawing everyone's attention. Priya smiled, "She is in her room, abhimanyu, go and call your didi." Abhimanyu nodded and headed off to get his sister, not before stealing one last glance at Vedansh and Vivaan.

As abhimanyu walked into aashvika's room, he found her sitting on the bed, her legs shaking nervously- a telltale sign of her anxiety. His eyes widened with concern, and he immediately rushed to her side, his voice barely above a whisper, "Di!! We have a problem!!" His urgent tone sent a jolt of confusion through aashvika, as she stared at him, waiting for him to continue.

Abhimanyu's eyes darted around the room, his movements swift and calculated. He stood up, his gaze scanning the space, before walking towards the door. With a slow, deliberate movement, he opened it, peeking outside to check if anyone was lurking nearby, listening to their conversation. Satisfied that the coast was clear, he locked the door, his actions speaking volumes about the gravity of the situation.

Aashvika's confusion deepened, and she asked, her voice laced with curiosity, "Kyaa??" Abhimanyu immediately came towards her, his index finger pressed against her lips, silencing her. "Shhh! Main make sure kar raha tha ki koi sun na le! Ab suno.." he explained, his eyes serious, as aashvika nodded, her eyes wide with anticipation.

[Shhh! I was making sure if anyone was listening or not! Now listen..]

She kept silent, waiting for him to continue, her patience wearing thin. Abhimanyu hesitated, his voice barely audible, "I think....mujhe lagta hai..." Aashvika's frown deepened, and she prompted him, "mujhe lagta hai..??"

Abhimanyu took a deep breath, his words spilling out in a rush, "M-mujhe lagta hai...vivaan gay hai."

[I-i think.. vivaan is gay]

Aashvika's eyes widened in shock, and she let out a loud, incredulous whisper-yell, "Kya???? Vivaan gay ha- VIVAAN GAY HAI?!"

[What??? Vivaan is gay— VIVAAN IS GAY!?]

Abhimanyu's panic spiked, and he quickly clamped his hand over her mouth, his eyes frantic. "Pagal ho kya? Chillao mat!!" He scolded her, his voice low and urgent, before removing his hand.

[Are you stupid? Don't scream!]

Aashvika stared at him, her expression a mix of horror and disbelief, "Kya bol raha hai?? Pagal ho gaya hai kya?" Abhimanyu just shook his head at her question and sighed, his patience wearing thin. "If you don't believe me then ask him yourself- "

[What are you saying?? Have you become crazy?]

Just then, a knock on the door broke the tense silence, "Aashvika beta, come, everyone is waiting for you." Priya's voice was warm and inviting, but it sent a jolt of anxiety through aashvika and abhimanyu, making them spring into action. Aashvika's eyes narrowed slightly as she looked up at abhimanyu, her expression a mix of annoyance and warning, "Kuch bhi mat bola kar, ab chal! Sab intezaar kar rahe hain!" Her voice was firm, and abhimanyu knew better than to argue.

She scolded him and started walking towards the door, her movements deliberate and purposeful. Abhimanyu tried warning her one last time, his voice low and pleading, "If you don't believe me, then ask him!" But aashvika just ignored him, her focusing on getting out of the room without causing a scene.

As she opened the door, a warm smile spread across priya's face, and aashvika passed her a faint nod, her eyes darting to the floor.

Taking a deep breath, she followed her mother into the living room, her heart racing like a drum in her chest. The living room seemed to shrink, and she felt herself becoming smaller, more nervous, as she sensed everyone's gaze lingering on her. The weight of their attention was suffocating, and she found herself staring at the floor, unable to meet anyone's eyes.

Meanwhile, vivaan, who had been staring at the floor, lost in his thoughts, suddenly looked up, hearing the faint sound of footsteps that approached the living room.

As his gaze lifted, he was met with the sight of aashvika standing beside her mother. For a moment, the time stood still for him, the world around him melting away like mist in the sun. The hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, the warm glow of the lights— everything faded into the background, and all he could see was her.

Aashvika walked further into the room, her movements fluid and effortless, but for vivaan, it was as if she was moving in slow motion. For him, she was looking like an apsara who had descended from heaven and taken all her time just to get ready for him.

The thought sent a shiver down his spine, and he gulped, his eyes locked onto hers. He noticed she was looking down, her gaze fixed on the floor, as vivaan silently pleaded for her to look up, to look at him, to acknowledge his presence.

He wasn't aware of what he was feeling, but his mind and heart were no longer under his control. It was as if he was seeing her for the first time, and he couldn't look away. Everything about her was mesmerizing for him.

Without caring about his family being present, without caring about anything, he stared at her, his gaze devouring every detail of her face. It was as if she was the only one worth looking at, the only one who existed in that moment.

As he traced the contours of her features, he felt something unfamiliar stirring within him, a feeling he couldn't quite pinpoint— a flutter in his chest, a warmth spreading through his veins, a sense of wonder that left him breathless.

Overwhelmed by his emotions, he looked down, his chest heaving with a mix of excitement and uncertainty.

As aashvika sat down on the sofa, beside her mother, she kept fiddling with her dupatta while trying to ignore everyone's gaze. But after realising, that it will be rude for her to ignore everyone, she slowly gathered all her courage and greeted all of them one-by-one without sparing a glance at the pair of eyes which were staring at her from the starting and had never left her once.

Not being able to handle the immense gaze of those eyes, she looked down, biting her lips in nervousness. "You look beautiful." Divya complimented aashvika making her smile. "Don't be nervous, beta." Divya then reassured aashvika as she passed her a faint nod.

The family then started talking to eachother, asking aashvika and vivaan a question or two, here and there.

Aashvika, being aware of the pair of eyes staring at her kept looking down. While, vivaan, who knew the affect his gaze held on her kept staring at her intently, his lips curving in a faint smirk.

"Ladki ko taadte hue sharam nahi aa rahi?" Vedansh scolded vivaan playfully, earning a light snack from him.

Abhimanyu nudged aashvika's elbow as she looked over at him. He mouthed "Vo dekh" to her and indicated towards vivaan and vedansh. Aashvika not being able to look at vivaan even for a second scowled at him without a glance in vivaan's direction and looked away.

As aashvika emerged deep in her thoughts, shaurya's voice broke her chain of thoughts, "Aashvika, vivaan, you guys should go and talk in alone while we elders talk about other things." Shaurya suggested as everyone agreed to it.

Aashvika's eyes widened as she gulped in nervousness. "Aashu, you both go to terrace and talk." Priya suggested. Aashvika slowly stood up while still staring at the floor. Nodding, she walked further, but stopped, waiting for vivaan to follow her.

Vivaan also emerged from his place and slowly walked behind her, while still keeping distance from her. Aashvika, feeling vivaan's presence some steps behind her, again started walking, while vivaan followed her from behind.

The family members smiled, observing their shyness.

Reaching the terrace, vivaan exhaled a deep breath, while aashvika just kept looking at the bright sky. Slowly walking towards the chair, they both sat down. A comfortable silence engulfing both of them, as no one dared to say a word. They both glanced at eachother from the corner of their eyes, too shy to look at eachother.

After some minutes, abhimanyu's words started echoing in aashvika's mind.

"Vivaan is gay."

"If you don't believe me, ask him yourself."

The words echoed in her mind like a mantra while she tried her best to ignore them. After minutes of being haunted by the game that those words were playing in her mind, she finally decided to end the silence.

"Suniye," Aashvika spoke, her voice sweet like honey, and her words short and calm. Vivaan, caught off-guard by her voice, looked at her in suprise. His eyes widening in astonishment.

He immediately looked down, feeling his face getting warmer. "Control yourself vivaan, what is happening to you?" He asked himself but once again, recieved no answer. Exhaling a deep breath, he replied.

"Sunaiye." His eyes widening in shock at the choice of his words. "Sunaiye?" How did a man who only talked in formal tone with others except for his family even think of saying a word like that?

Aashvika's breath got shortened as she heard vivaan's reply. Her heart racing faster than ever. His voice working like drugs on her. But, determined to ask him the question that was spinning around in her head, playing mind games with her, she took a deep breath and asked, "A..aap...aap..." She gulped as she prepared herself to speak. "Aap gay hain kya?" She spit out fastly while tightly closing her eyes, not ready to encounter whatever that was about to come.
